Cafe Osiris

Café Osiris is one of the few restaurants from the 1990s that has stood the test of time, serving as a time capsule of culture, the city, and food that transcends generations. For its 30th anniversary, a careful renovation was carried out by OAD architects and our team, with the aim of refreshing its identity elements.

Osiris is an iconic gathering place for Riga’s cultural elite. It has preserved
the warm welcome, food, and atmosphere of the 1990s, remaining an everyday
haven for many. Refreshing a brand so sacred to its community was an
excellent challenge.

The restaurant’s logo and symbol were left almost untouched, yet emphasized and given a clearer, more articulate voice. The main area of exploration lay in the materiality and three-dimensionality of the essential elements and finishes of the restaurant

New menu folders in vegan croc leather reference the fashion of the 1990s, paired with potato fritters topped with salmon “roses”—another iconic element of that era.
