Identity for Kuldīga 2027 combined history, fish going upstream and playful adaptivity.

Preserve rather than build new, grow locally instead of importing – when majority follows the lead, Kuldīga goes up the stream.

In 2024 we evolved the city-centric identity to seamlessly include all surrounding towns from Kuldīga Municipality like Skrunda and Ēdole. The brand system was widened, transforming a cultural campaign into a scalable, daily utility for the whole region.

To anchor the identity in regional heritage, we looked at the traditional woven patterns of the Suiti women, turned them into a scalable graphic grid and built a graphic system out of it.

We aligned Kuldīga’s sub-brands closer to the visual identity of the master brand. Additionally, we structured the usage of the coats of arms of the municipality's towns and parishes.

In 2026, we launched another project for Kuldīga Municipality – a video campaign. Since a part of our team calls Kuldīga their home, this became a deeply personal project for us.
Together with Rolands Briedis, we travelled through local communities, visited various organizations, and met a lot of incredible people along the way. As a result of this campaign, we received a very warm response from the local community. It is projects like these that inspire us the most, and they are exactly what drives us to create authentic storytelling.
